Features of the Parlux Advance Ceramic Ionic Hairdryer
Weight
The Parlux Advance is a very lightweight hair dryer. It only weighs 1 lb. which makes it very easy to use. It’s also a little smaller than hair dryers available but still delivers full-size performance. The weight and small size make it great for traveling. Although it doesn’t fold, it still won’t take up too much room inside your luggage.
Technology
The Parlux Advance is a ceramic hair dryer with an ion generator built in. This gives smooth, even, gentle heat that uses infrared (IR) technology to dry your hair from the inside out. Not only will this reduce drying time, but it’s less harsh on fine, thin, or damaged hair.
Power
This is one powerful hair dryer. It has an incredible 2200 watts. If you pair this power with a diffuser, you’ll have the ultimate hair dryer for thick curls. This amount of watts is overkill for many hair types, but there are no worries because the ceramic technology will soften that power and protect your hair.
Ergonomic Design
It’s always nice when manufacturers take our hands into account. The ergonomic handle makes it more comfortable to hold the hair dryer without getting fatigued so quickly. The small amount of weight seems to be distributed evenly over the handle so that adds to the comfort of holding it.

How Does The Parlux Advance Compare?
Parlux Advance vs. Chi Touch 2
These two hair dryers are both great dryers but they don’t have very many similarities. The few they do have are small similarities–cool shot buttons, advanced technology, and a concentrator attachment (the Parlux comes with two). The differences are a bit more noticeable.
The advanced technology that the Parlux claims is a K-Advanced motor which is supposed to provide more efficient performance. The Chi Touch 2 actually does have advanced technology–a touchscreen that allows you to easily maneuver between options and settings.
It also has 39 levels for heat and 39 levels for power. It’s safe to say that the Chi Touch 2 is more advanced than the Parlux Advance hair dryer. We’ve highlighted other minor differences in the quick comparison chart below.

Parlux Advance vs. Elchim 3900
These hair dryers are very similar with both being high-powered ceramic ionic hair dryers. Like the Parlux, the Elchim comes in a number of different colors to suit individual tastes. They are also in a similar price range so there isn’t any competition in price.
The Elchim has an advantage because it’s better constructed than the Parlux Advance. We aren’t saying that the Parlux isn’t durable because it is, but the Elchim 3900 has superior construction. Another advantage that the Elchim 3900 has is a lifetime warranty.
This is almost unheard of for a

Parlux Advance vs. Dyson Supersonic
We’ll start this comparison by simply saying that the Dyson Supersonic is a truly incredible hair dryer and the only one that can really stand up to it is the Chi Touch 2. However, the Dyson costs a small fortune so budget might make you choose the Parlux Advance instead. These two hair dryers really don’t have much in common other than being ionic hair dryers.
One of the most prominent differences is the technology behind them. The Parlux boasts an advanced motor, but their motor is nothing compared to Dyson’s. The Supersonic has a digital motor that is made with a microchip and thermistor which monitors heat flow twenty times per second. This ensures that you aren’t overheating your hair. No, that’s not a typo. It really does monitor heat twenty times per second. The Parlux Advance motor can’t touch the Dyson’s. Below are some other differences that separate these two hair dryers.

Conclusion
The Parlux Advance Light Ceramic Ionic dryer is a great hairdryer. It provides a lot of power, a great motor that is on the quiet end of the noise spectrum, and enough features to make it versatile. While it’s a really good dryer, it seems to be about middle-of-the-road when compared to other hair dryers. The biggest feature that sets it apart is the lightweight that it has. We would recommend the Parlux to anyone due to its ease of use and great construction.
