This may not seem like a big deal to most of you reading this, but I just need to explain something. Since I was 6 or 7 years old, I have been addicted to Blistex Lip Medex. You’re probably laughing right now, but I’m trying to be SERIOUS! I couldn’t leave the house without it, and I was re-applying once every hour (or more).
Since hearing Lisa Eldridge talk about this Nuxe Rève de Miel lip balm, I thought I could try it. I’ve tried weaning myself off Blistex before and found it IMPOSSIBLE. I’d panic, run around the house till I found the little blue tub of heaven and slather it on like it’s never been slathered before.

Now that you’ve got a little back story on my life (I’ve got SUCH big stressors), I’m here to tell you that:
I HAVEN’T USED BLISTEX IN TWO WEEKS!! (This is a big deal y’all).
You’re probably going to read the packaging yourself, but it says: “Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm with Honey & Precious Oils.” Now, I don’t know what PRECIOUS OILS they’ve put in there, but my god they must be the most precious oils in ALL OF THE LAND to make me forget about my glorious Blistex!
It comes in a frosted glass jar that feels quite weighty and nice to hold. It definitely makes me feel a little more mature. Glass jars-you’re so mature. It has kind of a lemon-y, orange-y scent, but nothing overwhelming

The main thing I wanted to talk about was the texture. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever felt before. It almost feels a bit gritty (like miniature sand particles), but once you’ve rubbed it in, they go away and you’re left with a (pretty) matte finish on the lips.
The BEST part about this lip balm is that it stays on for ages! Blistex gets swallowed by my lips like quick-sand & like I said, I was applying every hour on the hour. I can go AT LEAST 4-5 hours without even thinking about re-applying the Reve de Miel Lip Balm and that my friends is a GOOOOAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!
So yeah, basically if you have thirsty-as-hell lips, you’re gonna want this. I got mine in France, but you can also get it at Sephora or
I KNOW it looks expensive at over $20, but it’s got more product than the Blistex and it just works SO much better! A little goes a LONG way and I’m NOT just saying that, okay? (Blistex has 0.25oz of product and the Nuxe lip balm has 2.4 oz)
So what do you think? Are you going to try the Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm? What is your holy grail lip balm?
